The MUD we always wanted to play Rogue"Ahari crept through the deserted alleyways, searching for a target to relieve of his valuables. "So helpful, I am," he thought, "assisting all of these people in deciding where to spend their gold." As he rounded a corner, he finally spotted a mark. It was one of the more respectable city merchants. Ahari had even played cards and other such games of chance with him on occasion. It was unfortunate that his head would have to be removed from his shoulders, but it was of the utmost importance that Ahari not be identified as a thief. The laws against thievery were most severe in these parts. Ahari hugged the shadows which lined the sides of the street as he approached his mark. Nearing the oblivious merchant, he lifted his blade from its place on his belt. A quick, precise stab, and the merchant was retired from the hectic city life. Ahari grabbed the merchant's coin purse, dragged the corpse into a nearby handy alleyway, and ambled off to enjoy the results of a good night's work." What one cannot gain by strength of arm or force of will, one may sometimes be able to acquire through guile, deceit and trickery. The Rogue specialises in thievery and covert actions, and is capable of sneaking into areas where more powerful adventurers would fear to tread. They are better combatants than Clerics, but lack the wide selection of weapons available to Knights. All Rogues are skilled in combat with the dagger and stealing. Any other weapon skills must be purchased.
