The MUD we always wanted to play

Noyoki

A strange page was found fluttering, with more pen marks by Noyoki, describing herself, and her children, and all that she was, and perhaps will be.

As I gaze far beyond the sunset, to the coming night, I think of my children, those who died in the strife against the Nameless, and those who died of other causes. It has been a long many moons since I created them, my strong, swift, cunning children. Hopefully it will be many more moons in which I may see them prosper.

Remembering all that has gone past, I realize, that many say the Lynxes are strong willed, think too highly of themselves. Perhaps they should, it takes great patience and powers to excell at being a Lynx, they should be proud of themselves. I am proud of them. Perhaps it is my fault, perhaps not. I myself am extremely proud, and strong willed. I will be what I am, and not something else, just to fit the needs of another person. Some call me cold and a witch, perhaps that is true, it is not anyone else's business to know.

There was a time many moons ago,

When the roads were beaten trails

Made by armies on the march,

Some succeeded, some failed.

Under a waning moon I brought forth my children

To live and love the world I created them to save,

Fur with claws and bright shining eyes.

I needed not tell them how to behave.

Proud, beautiful, cunning,

They are all I wished them to be.

Singular creatures who stand for each other,

Like myself, they will stand nothing but to be free.

In time they may forget,

They may change, but there is one thing

Which will never change.

The pride to me they bring.

For in the end what am I?

If there are none who know who I am.

I would be nothing,

But a fading dream.
